BARBIE UNLEASHED

BARBIE UNLEASHED
Episode One Part I: Three Is Better Than Two
It was like any other morning at a high school just like Sun Valley High School. Barbie sat among the popular kids, their mouths hanging open as she sweetly showed off one her new outfit. Ken moved smoothly on his skateboard, wiggling in and out of admirers. Guess what??! This story isn't focused on Barbie or Ken, nor any of the "original" Barbie crew. There's new names and new faces. Everything may not end in a "happily ever after." This story is different. It's about an innocent brother, a protective sister and...a girlfriend.
Tyson stood by his car, his eyes wandering across the parking lot. He was looking for his girlfriend, Sophie. Suddenly a face popped in front of his, making him jerk back quickly. It was his sister, Tangerla.

She smiled, amused by her brother's reaction.

"Hey Ty. Whatcha looking at?" She turned her head in the direction he had been looking.

"Nothing. Nothing," he turned around quickly and headed toward the school walking past Barbie, captain of the cheer squad and Autumn, president of the student government.

His sister was still following him, laughing as she teased him. "I know you were looking at something. Was it a girl? A guy? Both?"

He turned around and looked down at her. Although she was older, he was one foot taller. "It was nothing! Why don't you just mind your own business!" All conversation stopped. Everyone around them inched away and those who were farther away crept closer.

Tangerla frowned. She shrugged and walked away, her feelings hurt. "Fine! I'll just mind my own business, then!"

Tyson felt guilty for being so abrupt with his sister but he would have to deal with that later. He had a class to get to. He rushed into the building, heading to Human Geography, just missing the late bell.

It was lunchtime. Tyson and Sophie headed to a lunch table. This was risky. Although his sister had a different lunch schedule, she had "scouts" following his every move. The downside of being twins was that they always had classes together. It was the luck of the draw that they had different lunches and he was taking advantage of it today...lunch with his girl. He could swear he saw his sister's best friend, Hanna's thumbs moving quickly over her cellphone, probably texting Tangerla that he was eating with Sophie.

Sitting down, Sophie sighed as she noticed Hanna deep into her texting, glancing at them with daggers in her eyes inbetween responding and sending her important texts.

Loud enough for Hanna to hear, she said, "I wish people wouldn't be so nosy."

Hanna's eyes narrowed, her face turned back to her phone and she kept right on texting.

"Ty, why is your sister always looking over your shoulder?"

Tyson shrugged his shoulders in frustration. "Since our mom's gone, Tan feels that she has to take on the job of mom and big sister." He laughed jokingly. " And, you know, since being the man on the football team, all the girls are chasing me like crazy. She's just trying to keep all the fans at bay."

He looked around the lunchroom for effect and waved easily at the twenty or so girls that giggled, batting their eyelashes at him flirtily, ignoring Sophie completely.

Sophie rolled her eyes. "Whatever." She glanced angrily at Hanna, who was still texting. "Lets enjoy our lunch. Who knows, it may be the last one you get."

He gulped, looking down at his lunch. Why me?

Michael Jackson

It so sad that Michael Jackson dies:( I grew up listening to his music and it just makes me sad that there wont be any new music coming from him again. And yes he did "not so great things" but that all has been put in the past.
God Bless and Rest In Peace

Hello!! Sorry it's been a while since I've blogged. It's summer. No more school for two months:) But it's going to be a very busy summer. So many cousins coming to visit and projects to get done...it seems like it's still the school year (except I'm staying at home). Well I'll blog a little later.

):>Weird Battle<:(

Today at school there was really scare thing. There was this lizard that was eating another lizard. It was horrific. The bigger one was holding hi by the neck. The other one was trying to bite him, but it couldn't do it. One of my friends poked the bigger one. It startled him so much that he dropped his victim who ran away. It was really weird.

Anime Do I Love It Or Hate It?

I remember when I saw my first anime show. It was probably in 2006. It was Naruto. One of my play cousins asked if I had ever heard of it. At that time, I don't think I knew what anime was. When I saw Naruto for the first time, it was episode 4. I remember seeing it. I got this bubbly feeling in my tummy. I can't really explain it, but after that every single Saturday, I went over and watched it. After maybe a year, I became obsessed:(It became so bad that my parents had to banish me from watching it. But I sometimes sneak to m play cousins house (who were also fans) watched it :( I am ashamed ): After a few months though I lost interest and turned my attention to another anime (Code Geass). Because everyone thought that I was still into Naruto, they didn't pay attention about Code Geass. But there where only like 5o or so episodes and I could knock out 10 episodes a weekend. So when that was over, I didn't know what to do. Thank goodness for the Internet though. I found a whole list of shows. I started watching Inuyasha. Anyway, after that was over I took a break for almost 5 months, then I got back. I had been looking for pictures of people that looked noble, then a picture came up that read; These Are My Noble Masters. I will admit it was a funny show but kind of dumb too. After the 13 episodes of that was over, so there I was just wondering around thinking of any other anime show I could watch. Finally I heard of something called Bleach. It caught my attention and I soon grew to love it. So that is what I am currently watching. The funny thing is that when I see anime shows, I like making little skits about it. For example in Bleach, I made a story about a girl named Takuya Horosaki. It was only weeks ago that her parents, Ichihara and Akihiko, where both mysteriously murdered. Many believe that it was because the Horosaki family, is a noble family with great wealth beyond anyone wildest dreams. This may sound like a life fit for a king, but how can a simple child handle all that power on her own? Her mother's siblings (Takara, Zeniba and Izanagi) along with her father's sister, Sadoni, are trying hard to find out who killed the two beloved people. But as they search deeper and deeper, they find out horrible truth and the twisting mysteries in their families history. Also with that comes another assassination, but this time it's targeted at the only survivor of the Horosaki family; Takuya!!

Dog VS. Mailman

Why do dogs always attack mailmans? That is a question I ask myself a lot of times. I've seen dogs chase FEDEX trucks, UPS vans, Mail trucks. Do they have something against the mail? Is it something inheireted from their ancestors or is it the new modern trucks that's turned them on? Well this is a question that one day I want to find out:)

[:FUN, FUN, FUN:)

Hello Again. Wow what a week!! As some of you may know, my birthday was this pass weekend!! I am so happy:) My friend Carrie's ('sup Carrie) birthday was 5 days before mine on April 13th. On Friday, me and one of my friends (college friends) took me to see Hannah Montana (OMB"Oh My Bubbles" it was weird) There were a bunch of teens in their who were screaming their heads off over Hannah's boyfriend (sorry for those of you who haven't seen it). On Saturday (my birthday) I went running for two miles at the downtown park for historically black colleges. Then we went to Paneras (:yummy:)I spent the rest of the morning enjoying my presents. Then in the afternoon, my play cousins came over and we had a family party. On Sunday, I had a friend birthday party where we went around the mall looking for certain items (the teams were called The Green Team, The Blue Crew and The Golden Ones) It was a lot of fun and I glad my school friends could meet my dance and neighborhood friends.

(:IT WAS AWESOME:)

The Happy Days of Agape

HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS

Part 1: The First Happy Day
“Wake up Agape. Wake up, it's a brand new day” a voice whispered. My eyes opened and looked around the room. Same stone walls, same lavender smell...same everything. Just a dream I thought to myself. A stream of light sneaked through my window and caused my sheets to turn yellow like the sun. I sat up and as if I had rung a bell, my maid, Hanna, came in. “Good morning Agape-Dashi”she said very slowly. She walked and then stood in the middle of the room as if the words where actually like some type of food she was trying to digest. Her look was so funny I covered my mouth up under the snow colored sheets to keep from letting a laugh slip through my lips. The yellow sunlight danced across the sheets, rolling like waves sometimes and twirling like dancers at others. It was so beautiful that I was dazzled by it's beauty. Then something she said earlier got my attention. This thought made the smile on my face slide of like water going down a drain. Agape-Dashi. Dashi is the word used towards people who are in line for being on the throne. I know I'm third in line but a few weeks ago, I was called Titi by everyone (it means “Colorful Angel”). When the date was given that my oldest sister Shinra would be the Hakkaza, female queen, Aunt Zayiba made everyone call those in the royal family by their respectable title. Still, I'm the same person...why must everyone bow at my feet when I pass by? I still have the same peachy colored skin, the same yellow hair, the same sea blue eyes...so what's the problem?! I don't want to be treated like a queen, or a princess!! I'm only 12 and besides my parents...well, my parents were dead. Since I was five actually. I was told that it was an assassination that killed them. I don't truly believe that, but I always nod when people talk about it, which is rare. Hanna interrupted my train of thought. “Graced Zayiba wants you to wear this dress Agape-Da-” I didn't even let her finish that sentence. I hopped out bed not even bothering to put my sheets on that fell on the floor. “Why do you call me that?! Did I grow an eye or something because if I did please tell me so that I don't rip my hair out wondering what's wrong with everybody!!” My outburst startled her and she bowed down to the floor. “I'm sorry Titi. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings” She looked up at me with something in her big brown eyes that I wasn't expecting from her. Fear. What was wrong with me? Why did I lash out at her like a snake? Why was she bowing and apologizing? Wasn't just days ago, she teased me about my taste in cloths or me pretending to be a queen? I bent down and took her hands into my own. I stared at her in the eye and said as calmly as possible, “I'm sorry Hanna. I shouldn't have yelled at you. But please...never cower in front of me. I feel like a monster or something. Please don't make me feel like one.” She looked at me for one second and then nodded with a smile. “Whatever you say Titi. Now come on lets get you dressed.” She stood and walked to the closet. I looked after her. What had that breakdown been about? I left that thought behind and went to follow her wondering if I would survive after she put that dress on me.
“Do you think this dress makes me look fat?” I twirled around in the mirror and looked at myself. The dress was made of the finest silk and was surprisingly light. It was forest green and half way down it turned silver. Simple, just the way I liked it. “You look fine. Now come on or we'll be late to the speech” Hanna was waiting at my door the brown piece of wood was halfway open. A maid had delivered a message that my sister's crowning would be moved to this morning rather than this evening. I hurried to her and together we walked down the hallway. I turned to her. “Why were you bowing in the first place Hanna?” She looked around to make sure we were alone. There was no one in the hallway. She leaned in and whispered something in my ear. “Zayiba told me that we couldn't be just friends anymore. We both had to respect each others positions, you being of royal blood and me being a simple village girl that was lucky and was chosen to work here.” She shrugged like it didn't bother her. The message to the shrug was clear, don't worry about it. We walked in silence until we came to the courtyard. The sight took my breath away. There were vases of flowers that smelled heavenly. Rugs of of royal blue trimmed with gold thread were laid down everywhere. Chairs were layered with fabric that looked like the color of champagne. There were tables piled with food from thick king snake broth to chocolate supreme cakes with five different types of chocolate. I turned away so I wouldn't swipe a lick and get a scolding from Chief Ageha about being respective of a work of art. “Attention everyone. The guards will start letting people in. Please be cooperative.” I looked to my right and saw a stream of people coming in through the gates. Hanna nudged me and motioned towards a group of chairs that were black and decorated in the family sign. They were behind the podium where my second sister, Aceline, was looking through the pages some kind of book. She was so beautiful. Her skin was the color of seashells that offset her watermelon green eyes and long honey blond hair. She wore a raven black dress that was carefully pressed on it's folds and went out to the sides. There were rubies, pearls and sapphires situated so that they looked like they went together. She looked up and motioned for me to come sit down next to where her raven feathered hat was sitting on her chair. I walked up onto the stage and sat in the chair. Hanna took a seat behind me where personal assistants sat. We sat for a few minutes and watch people coming in. Lords, ladies, dukes, duchesses, priest, army officials and lots of other people filed in to their appointed seats. I recognized several of our guest. General Fredrick of Area 13 (top secret base) and his wife Madame Adsila, the couple in charge of church, Father Alexander and Mother Calanthia and even Cameo-Lata, Lata is the word people use to call a widow. Cameo-Lata use to be my mother's head lady-in-waiting. But when my parents died, she returned to her village, but comes and visits often. Aceline cleared her throat and spoke in a loud voice over the crowd's talking. “First I would like to thank all of you for being here today. This is a very important event that I'm sure will be in the history books for awhile.” I felt someone slide into the seat next to me. I looked over and saw that it was my Aunt Zayiba. My mother's older sister had her hair tide up into a bun at the top of her head. She wore a dress that was royal blue and trimmed in gold just like the rugs. Next to her was her twin sister Auntie Shizuka. Auntie Shizuka was very different than her sister. She was very excepting, kind and loved people more than wealth and fame. She wore a rich purple dress that had only a single emerald in the middle. I turned back towards the front. “Now please give a warm applause to our next ruler Shinra Ada Kujimi.” Everyone burst into applause and Aceline stood back to give Shinra enough room, and then, I say her. She walked in slowly her gown flowed out around her like a bubble. Her dress was cream colored and golden chains hung from the waist part. Her crown was also cream colored adorned with jewels and her face was absolutely smooth. Her dark chocolate eyes were blank and her mouth was in one straight line. She walked to the podium and the applause stopped and the rustle of skirts moving was soon silent. Shinra looked over the crowd for a quick moment, then she did something that I never thought I'd hear her do. She started singing!! Music came on from the side of the stage where the orchestra was sitting. A smile broke out on her pale pink lips. “My life has been like a huge movie. With ups and downs. I've had to choose between my sisters and my country. A voice yells in my head do whats right, but...what is right?” I couldn't believe that my sister actually singing. This reminded me of seven years ago when my parents were alive. It was my birthday and my family was singing to me. They were all laughing as I sat in daddy's big chair and pretended I was the queen saying in a deep voice, “bring me my tea. More sweet figs, more tea!!” Something felt wet on my face. The wetness was coming from my eyes. I was crying. The tears grew more heavier and they started running down my cheeks as if they were racing. They fell onto my dress and made small dark spots. “Don't cry or it will spot your dress” Aunt Zayiba whispered. I looked up to see that she had tears on the brink of falling out. I looked back at my sister to hear the song, but she had stopped singing. The music was silent, and there no one was even speaking. She turned around started walking towards where the crown was, sitting on a silver box. She placed it on her head and not missing a beat, walked over to where I was sitting. She bent down and hugged me. “I'll never leave alone again...Titi.” My eyes filled with tears and they spilled out like miniature waterfalls. I looked up at the sky and I knew that I was happy. This was a happy day.

P.S All the words (Like dashi and hakkakza) are made up.

***************Catching Up!!***************

*************************************************************************
Hello Everyone!! Sorry it I haven't been writing. Since I haven't been writing, a lot of things have been going on. On Thursday, my dad and I went on a trip to Mt. Dora, FL. It's a small little town that's filed with antiques (and I really like antiques). Th place was amazing and very pretty with little parks here and there. After that on Saturday, one of my "play aunts" (an aunt that is a really good friend of one of my parents and are almost like family) had an A-Day-Early-Easter/Early-Uncle and Cousin-Birthday party. Just for you to know this aunt is an incredible cook. She cooked pecan pie, red velvet cake, pound cake, chocolate supreme cake and many other goodies. Plus my godmommy from Jacksonville came down to visit and that was really fun. Plus to top all that, my birthday is the Saturday coming up. Yaaaaaah!!!! Well I'll write later. Toodles for Now!!

****Food Glorious Food****

Hello everybody!! Sorry that I havn't blogged in a while. But I'll just catch you up on all of the things that I did this week. Last Saturday, my family and I went to a dinner event at Glenridge Middle School (sponsored by TCHS and WPHS). It was a demonstration of world hunger. The world was divided into five regions (Africa, Latin America, East Asia, South Asia and Euro/America). When you picked your number, it made you think "there's a chance that I could have easily been born in Latin America or Africa." After the introduction, it was dinner time (Africa=Rice and Pork, Latin America=Beans and Rice, East and South Asia= Cold Rice and Veggies). Oh, I almost forgot about Euro/America. Full-course meal and they were served (in Asia, we had to wait for the men to get their food and water before the women could get anything and we had to sit in silence. Plus the food was in half-serving boxes and we had only half glass of water for the whole meal >-<. It was a good experience and I know I'll never say I'm dying of hunger again!!

DREAMS RUNNING WILD

Hello again. Do you ever have dreams that don't make any sense what-so-ever? Well, I had a dream like that on Friday. I was at my school (freaky) and then all these alligators came from out of nowhere. My science teacher told my class the only way to get out of school without getting killed was to travel in groups. When I went out with a few of my friends (or I assumed they were my friends), this alligator hunter starts fighting with a gator. Then the ground started shaking and we fell right through. We landed in this big dark room where this guy/demon/who knows what was looking down at us (SUPER Freaky). He started saying that we were his property and stuff like that. Then the gator guy comes out no where and he starts bouncing of the walls. The demon dude gets all mad and starts throwing fire at him. Finally one hits him and gator guy falls down. then we get popped back to the surface to find that we're in a dessert. We start walking and find that we're in this huge shopping mall. Then my friends start running and I do to. I find out that we're running from some lizard person. But then we run into these two guys. The red head on the left says "Looks like you need a ride." He picks all four of us up and plops us down into a shopping cart the size of a bathtub. After a while we run into a wall, and we melt through and find ourselves in these huge cinnamon cars. (MEGA WEIRD)
And that's when I woke up. So that's what happens when you let your imagination run wild.

***Morning Star***

Hello everyone!! Out of all my ideas, there is one that stands out from the rest... my Twilight idea. Everywhere you look, people are making little stories based on this best seller. Well, I have my own idea for a story, and it's titled Morning Star.

Morning Star is about another group of vampires called the Fares. The leader, Elizabeth "Scarlett", is actually Carlise's 2nd cousin. Along with the rest of her family, Charles (husband), Marcia (daughter), Heather "Thorn" (daughter), Luke (son-in-law), George (son-in-law), Grace (adopted granddaughter) and Pepper (adopted daughter), their lives are truly perfect...or so they thought. This is a story of the enduring strength of family.

The characters and their powers:

Elizabeth "Scarlett" (Controls the weather)
Charles (None)
Marcia (Physical Shield)
Heather "Thorn" (Controls the mind)
Luke (None)
George (Controls liquid)
Pepper (Moves things with her mind)
Grace (Can see past events as quick as a second or as long as a year)

The Simple Question

There are always questions about life that we want to ask people. What do you want to be when you grow up or if you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
Well, I have a question that I thought about in my room one day. What does "A Perfect World" look like to you? For example: I see wide open green fields that look like they could go on forever. I see people from all over the world talking peacefully and children of all colors running around hand and hand. The only smoke I see is coming from several local bakeries. (Of coarse, that's more of the fantasy world, but I will respect your opinion, whatever it is.)
Sincerely Yours,
Sidney

A Simple Family Dinner

When some people think of family dinners, they think of take-out Chinese food or pizza, but really, there's more to family dinners than that. A family dinner is about more than the food you eat. Many years ago, dinner was when everyone came home from work or school and talked about their day and many other things. Sadly, some people don't eat with their families any more and if they do, it's not an enjoyable time. For example, the teenage brother comes in and out of the kitchen, taking a bite here and there, dad watches the news, the little sister eats with her comic books half-way under the table, while mom tries to feed baby brother, who squeals and throws food everywhere.

A good idea for a family dinner is to make the meal together because the best food is made in your own kitchen with your family at your side. Dinner is about both eating and gathering with the family to close a day.

On Thursday night my family had a family dinner . I chose this night not only because I love spaghetti, but also my Dad was home from his meeting in Dallas. My Dom got her pots, pans and ingredients out, and she started cooking. Because I had homework to do, I sat down in the formal dining room and started working. My dad worked in his office and my brother was upstairs studying. The smell of fresh meat and thick green veggies drifted like a stream into my working space. Every once in a while, my brother took a break and made his way into the kitchen. He took a taste here and there, but he was shooed away before he could eat anything more than a sample. After the food was cooked, my brother and I set the table. We gathered around the table and my Dad said grace. We sat down to a great meal, talking, laughing, joking and even gossiping.

The worst part about my family dinner night was cleaning up. Doing the dishes, sweeping the floor, and wiping all the counters was not a lot of fun. Still, it was a good night and certainly one that I'll remember.

Family dinners are a time that should be enjoyed by all families big or small. Even in these tough times, people should find comfort within their families and a family dinner helps alleviate worries. Like I said earlier, family dinners are about eating and gathering with the family to close a day.

Mans Best Friend Thier Side of The Story Part II

CHAPTER II

A LITTLE PRINCESS NAMED...BROOKE

IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE FIRST CHAPTER PLEASE DO SO OR YOU WON'T KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.

There are dogs that are pampered and then there are dogs that are PAMPERED. This dog was the second one...PAMPERED. A little chihuahua, she was wearing a pink dress with a diamond collar and black boots. She sat on a baby pink pillow, not one of the daycares I knew, near the porch. JaJa, a sweet Jack-Russell, walked past her. The chihuahua snapped with such fierceness that poor little JaJa ran as if the devil were after her.

I started to bare my fangs in anger when Tobi trotted next to me.
"Do not judge her too badly, Pippy. She is young, naive, and vulnerable."
"Well, I do not like ignorant little rats that call themselves dogs" I mumbled with a sniff. I followed Tobi as we made our way towards the chihuahua.
Just as I thought, she bared her fangs and started yapping at us like we were rodents or something. When she realized we weren't going to leave, she said in a demanding high-pitched voice, "What do you want?"
Tobi stepped forward.
"We are here to welcome you dear litt-"
She cut Tobi off. "My name is Princess Rosey Alexandria Brooke and I expect to be called Miss Rosey, Miss Brooke, or Princess Rosey Alexandria Brooke and I will tolerate no other ame!!"

She finished her little speech with a sastified sniff. I couldn't believe she would be so mean and disrespectful to Tobi. Tobi wasn't just any dog, he was THE dog. Tobi had traveled all over the world and served as a rescue dog. He was loyal, kind, patient and honest. I wanted to stand up for him becuase he was too much of a gentleman to be mean. An idea came to me. A wonderful idea.
"Well Miss Brooke, we just came by to tell you that this isn't going to be some kind of pampering pooch day. This is the day that you're going to remember for the rest of your little life!"

I turned around and said in my loudest voice, "Everyone come on over!!"
Like a magnet, all the dogs, big and small cam, running.

Miss Brooke seemed flattered, but nervous.

Good.
I turned to Miss Brooke. "Everyone this is Princess. She'll be staying with us for a while and I thought it would be nice if we greeted her with a little fun activity."
Most of the dogs looked at me like I was speaking alien. I smiled and turned to one dog in particular.
"Siren!! How about a little competition?"
A gasp rose above the crowd, while they quickly opened a path for Siren. The strongest and toughest German Shepard I've ever known, Siren was the reigning winner of any competition at daycare. Being a retired police dog, she was very headstrong and didn't hesitate to throw her weight around, earning her 2nd in command and head dog of sports and activities.

Siren walked forward, her head held high, full of self- importance. She looked at me for a second and then looked Miss Brooke up and down. She then tilted her head to gesture towards the field. Brooke looked as if she had been asked to jump through a hill of dog poop, but when Siren didn't move, she was smart enough to hop off her "throne" and follow.

We could all tell she was scared, with her tail tucked under her bottom. In a way I felt a little bad, but this is what happens when the little dogs try throwing their weight around. A gruff next to me brought me out of my short daydream. Tobi was starting follow the crowd towards the field. I trailed behind wondering and worrying about what I had started.

Would this little devil be too much for even Siren or would Siren's attitude cause her to snap at this pup?

Stay around to find out!!!!

Chapter 1 "The News"

On my second blog, I talked about my story
MY WONDERFUL SOME WHAT CRAZY GREEK FAMILY
(If you haven't read the prologue, read before this)

"Ridiculous!!" Dakota’s voice bounced off the cafeteria walls." Ridiculous" she repeated, although this time she sounded more exasperated than angry.
"What is it?" Macy asked, her voice barely containing her innocent curiosity.
"These magazines lie way too much," Dakota mumbled tossing a People magazine in front of my tray.
There was an article about her. Dakota Latki (Lot-Key) Living a Double Life?! I sighed. In the last few months, the media had been pressuring Dakota about her aloof attitude. She simply told them she didn’t want to be bothered, but that made the media more suspicious.
"Just ignore them," Macy encouraged. "They’ll leave you alone once they get used to you."
Poor Macy. Ever since her sister became famous, Star and other magazines wanted to know all, but she did things that attracted less attention.
My daydreaming was cut short when Kate burst through the doors. She stopped automatically in front of my table.
"Marcia..the principal wants to see you." She looked nervous. "I think it's something about...you know."
I sighed again. Two days ago, a sphinx tried to attack the school. In self defense I split her in half. I mean... if you see a cat person running towards you and she's about to slit your throat, then yeah, I'm going to defend myself. Plus I don't know what the mortals saw. Because of mind-manipulation, monsters and gods can change what mortals see and do. For all I know, they could have seen an icecream lady being attacked by some juvenile delinquent that was an escapee.
"Come on Marcia! He's not patient!!"
Kate clamped a cold hand onto my shoulder and nearly dragged me out the door. When we got to the office there were police officers everywhere and even an FBI agent. They all moved out of our way as we walked to Mr. Fredrick's office Kate stayed in the hallway.
He was sitting down in his "throne chair." His slit eyes looked up from his papers.
"Oh...Ms. Marcia!! Pl-please take a seat." He took a hankie and dabbed his forehead that was trickling with sweat.
I swear I could here his heart skip a beat.
"I uh...hope you wont react to this to quickly." He started. "But your mother has disappeared in a terrible plane accident. Her plane was found in the Amazon. I'm very, very sorry. Your father is waiting for you."
I must say that I took the news rather well. I pushed back from the table and I spun on my heel and marched toward the door. In the process I ran into my father who was walking in with Persephone (my younger sister.) Her brown eyes filled up with tears.
"Is it true? Is Mama gone?" her question hung in the air like a black cloud hovers over a funeral procession.
What could I say? What could I, a tenth grader say to my 9 year old sister? Mother will never come home her plane crashed in the middle of no where.
I stared her in the eye and said in a simple voice "Mother's plane had to do an emergency landing. She possibly parachuted out and is on her way home."
That was such a stupid thing to say. I was talking to a fourth grader with a college reading level and the brain that was as straight forward is a locomotive. Thankfully she bought the story and ran into my arms. Her hair smelled of sweet strawberries and jasmine. My father who had been surprisingly quiet cleared his throat. He walked over us and with a nod to the principle steered Persephone and I towards his car. Kate looked at me eyes confused and questioning. All I could do is shrug.
After we were on the freeway, my father looked at me his golden eyes boring into mine.
"I'm taking you to Isles Rose" his spit out.
(For those of you who don't know, Isles Rose is an island that is one of the pocket fulls of Immortal Safe Havens (ISH) in the world. Isles Rose is the head quarters of the organization.) It was so random and so sudden, I didn't even know what to say. Persephone was different though.
"Why?"
"It's time to stop living in fairytale mode."
Apollo's eyes were dangerously bright and he was gripping on the steering wheel like it was a stress ball. He continued
"Persephone, your mother was kidnapped by a man...a demon named Guss."
Although I wanted to find my mom I couldn't help laughing. A guy named Guss? Come on!! But a look from m dad made me shut up.
"Anyway, he has detested the gods for who knows how long. He has tried to attack Olympus at least three times. He is not a forced to be reckoned with and that is why I am taking you both to Isles Rose. It's safe and the last place he'd think of looking."
I could tell that that was the end of the conversation. I turned to look out the window. Mother... Where are you?
HOPE YOU ENJOYED IT!!!!

Mans Best Friend (Their Side of the Story)

Dogs. They are America's #1 pet from, yapping Chihuahuas to proud Great Danes. Everyone loves dogs, but have you ever thought about what they're thinking? Well, that's what this story is about. It starts with a dog named Pippy -based on my real dog- that is on her way to daycare...
Chapter 1 A New Pup in Town

I looked out the back window of my owner's car and stared hard, trying to rush the dirt road along.

"Pippy we're almost to daycare!!" My owner squeked looking in the rearview mirror. "It's going to be so much fun!! Two weeks of being with all your friends, and having nice mud baths -"

I gave a deep sigh. Why does she have to talk like that? I can understand her when she talks normaly!! I'm not a puppy for kible's sake!! I thought to myself.

My thoughts was soon put aside as I looked up and saw it- The Daycare! My heart started a beating fast as we pulled up to the front door. The engine's rumbling stopped and soon the back door opened. I jumped down and, not missing a beat, ran to the door. My owner opened the door and I ran through, up the stairs and into the "Dog Entrance."

Several of my friends were waiting at the gate barking and yapping happily.

"Is that Pippy?" a friendly human voice came from the side door.

It was the owner. I thought she was pretty cool. She was tall with skin like copper and hair as dark as night itself, with brilliant red highlights zigzagging and peeking through. She smiled at me and opened the gate. While she talked to my owner I trotted happily through the sea of dogs who never gave me any breathing space. "

"Pippy" a familiar bark came from behind me.

I turned to see Tobi, the oldest dog at the daycare. I ducked my head respectfully as did all the other dogs whenever he spoke.

"Pippy" he started in his throaty voice, "there is a new dog at the center. A very... young dog. Because you are one of the few dogs that I trust 100% I would like you to be her mentor."

I nodded like no dog has nodded before. I was proud to be asked to help Tobi.

"Where is this new dog in town?" I asked looking around for any unfamiliar dog.

"Over there all by herself" whispered Buddy, a tall yet quiet black lab.

My eyes followed his and my heart felt like it would drop.

Be A Home Planet Earth

By: Sidney .M.

Be a flame, Mother Earth
May your voice rise high and loud
To shield her from dangers that will come her way
Be a river, Father Sky
May your strong currents lift her
And guide her through light and darkness
Be a breeze, Sister Moon
May you protect and guard her as he sleeps
May your soft lullaby sooth her worries and troubles
And your gentle whispers bring her hope
Be a road, Brother Sun
Lead her through crossroads
So that her path may be free of indecisions
Be a home, Planet
Let her travel throughout your kingdom
Through the vast earth up the endless sky with the bright moon and radiant sun watching over her
Be a home, Planet

My Wonderful, Somewhat Crazy Greek Family

(This article is one of my earliest ideas)

THE STORY STARTS HERE......
When most people look at me, they only see the outer layer of the two lives I live. My mother always told me that there’s always two sides to every story. One side, usually every one knows and the other side is usually forgotten. Take Cinderella for example. Compassionate, kind, and well mannered. Her step-sisters, Anastasia and Drizelda, were the exact opposites. But, one might ask, why? To be honest, you can’t really blame their mother for their personal problems. So, what caused them to be so self-centered? Anyway, back to me. In my outer life, I’m a famous teenage actress who’s already won three Tony Awards for Best Child Actress and three Emmy awards in the last six years. And if that’s not enough, I’m the center of attention at school with both students and teachers. It took the State Board of Education all their patients and power to keep the 10th grade teachers from going to war with each other about what classes I was going to take. In the student area, I’m the president of the student council and vice president of Cheer for Change (Cheer for Change is a program where kids go out and raise money to help charities.) I have a sister named Persephone. She’ll be on her way to fifth grade after summer. Joy. Another year of Ashford Elementary won’t kill her. Although it would probably kill me. This is where my other life starts. In my second life, I’m still famous but, not in the way I want to be. My parents would tell you that their names were Charles and Samantha Meyer but, in truth, their real names are Apollo, son of Zeus and Leto, and Ignisha, oldest daughter to Poseidon and Amphiridite. This is the life of a Greek Goddess-In-Training. So this is the age when Greek gods and monsters thrive in the mortal world of the 21st century. To make things even weirder, Mt. Olympus is on top of the Sears Tower in Chicago , while the entrance to the Underworld is smack in the middle of Death Valley. I mean to me this isn’t weird at all, since I grew up in the middle of it, but when you start to think about it, it’s really something that’ll make you dizzy. But as I said, this is my life as a Greek-Goddess-In -Training.

Sidney The Black Swan

Hello. My name is Sidney Rose. But most of my friends call me Sid. Since this is my very FIRST blog, I'll tell you a little bit about myself. I was born April 18th 1996 in St. Louis, Missouri. Now I live in Florida. I looooove making stories, acting, singing and dancing (also some anime here and there).
As a kid, I dreamed of being an actress, but I never thought about actually working to become one. So, now I'm taking lessons to become an actress. I also love writing scripts. The newest one I'm working on is Miracle On Winter Avenue. It's a story about a little girl who lives in an orphanage. Because she was taken to the orphanage on Christmas, she hates the holiday season. The spirit of winter comes along with a bunch of other creatures to show the little girl that Christmas isn't bad. I hope to write many more and even show some on the blog. (When I start posting my stories, feel free to share opinions)

-Sincerely Sidney
